About this opportunity
The 2026 Guangdong AI & Robotics Skills Competition is a provincial first-class vocational-skills competition jointly hosted by the Guangdong Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Development and Reform Commission, and the Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and organized by the Guangdong AI Industry Association and Guangzhou Vocational and Technical University. Three competition tracks: AI Trainer (individual, employee and student groups, with an AI-Trainer contest and an AIGC digital-content-generation contest assessed on prompt engineering, multimodal generation, post-production, copyright compliance and commercial deployment, using real enterprise commissions), Industrial Robot System Operator (special industrial applications), and Service Robotics Application Technician (service-robot applications plus a data-capture/virtual-simulation challenge). Current open window: AI Trainer applications must be emailed to airsc@gdai2017.com with paper copies mailed by October 15, 2026; an online theory qualifier is held in November if a track exceeds 70 entrants, with the final on December 5, 2026 in Guangzhou. The two robotics tracks were held on September 5 at the Canton Fair Complex. Awards: top 20% share first/second/third prizes in a 1:2:3 ratio with merit awards; occupational skill certificates (Advanced Worker Level-3 / Technician Level-2) issued per regulation. No entry fee.
